Scope: The scope included a complete kitchen renovation as well as cosmetic updates for the two fireplaces. New chandelier statement fixtures were added to the great room.
Programming: Programming for this project included creating a functional chef’s kitchen within the current layout constraints, as well as cosmetic updates to the two main floor fireplaces. While the architecture of the home was spacious & light-filled, the kitchen was dated and under-functioning for the clients, who value food & entertaining. Similarly, the fireplaces didn’t do justice to the high ceilings; adding plaster accents defined the space & elevated the aesthetic. Chandeliers brought down the height & further defined the space.
Style: We created a casual luxe aesthetic, combining richly veined quartz, warm walnut cabinets and venetian plaster. The large scale modern chandeliers served as sculptural design elements, and also brought intimacy to the space by lowering the ceiling height.
